Allana is a Senior Associate at national law firm, Gilchrist Connell. She has extensive experience practising in workplace relations and safety law.
She has acted for and advised small businesses, global corporations and government departments.
Her national experience spans across the areas of employment, discrimination, occupational health and safety, industrial relations, employment practices liability, whistleblowing and privacy.
Allana provides advice and representation in relation to workplace relations claims such as unfair dismissal, adverse action, discrimination, bullying and harassment, employee entitlements and benefits, breach of confidentiality and restraint of trade.
She advises on workforce management matters, including workplace investigations and the application of industrial instruments such as modern awards and enterprise agreements. Allana regularly prepares contracts and policies, including for businesses using contractors and labour hire services.
Allana also acts for businesses who are prosecuted for alleged breaches of work health and safety legislation and provides advice to businesses on their work health and safety obligations.
Allana is Co-Chair of the Law Institute of Victoria’s Workplace Relations Committee.
