Interested to learn how you can protect your business with a trade mark, patent or other registered intellectual property (IP) right? Visit representatives from IP Australia to find out how IP rights can help your small business.
IP Australia is the Australian Government agency that administers IP rights and legislation for patents, trade marks, design rights and plant breeder's rights. IP refers to creations of the mind and can include a brand name, logo, invention, design, or even a new plant variety.
IP Australia has a range of useful tools and resources to help small and medium sized businesses protect their IP. TM Checker is a free tool that helps small businesses check if their branding might be suitable for registration as a trade mark. Registering a trade mark via TM Checker can cost as little as $330 for 10-year protection.
